What Inspired OBJ.01.02.BIRADIAL.HORN
The OBJ.01.02.BIRADIAL.HORN was inspired by the desire to combine both the presence and acoustic depth of the original OBJ.01 and OBJ.02, Keeping the hexagonal form while integrating the OBJ.02.BIRADIAL.HORN. By combining these two design explorations, we sought to develop a speaker that has sculptural elegance with a refined sonic performance. The OBJ.01.02 builds upon the design of its predecessors: the architectural and reflective geometry of the OBJ.01, and the emotive tonal and clarity of the OBJ.02.BIRADIAL.HORN.
Creating OBJ.01.02.BIRADIAL.HORN
In designing the OBJ.01.02 we always wanted to use it for suspended installations, we focused on both creating this aesthetics and added stability for elevation, stainless steel threads were incorporated into the structure, providing secure attachment points for loops or hooks, enabling the speaker to be safely suspended from chains canopied. This structural enhancement ensures stability while allowing the object to maintain its sculptural presence in elevated or non-traditional placements. The biradial horn remains central to its acoustic character, offering precise high- with the small square cabinet delivering mid-frequency dispersion, while the hexagonal form brings lower tones a continued adventure in the visual symmetry and architectural language of the OBJ.01 lineage.
Commissioning an OBJ.01.02.BIRADIAL.HORN
For commissions, we provide a collaborative process that includes drawings, measurements, and guidance on finishes, materials, and driver configurations. As with our other designs, the use of reclaimed or limited components means production is highly limited, with some units being entirely one-of-a-kind. Each OBJ.01.02.BIRADIAL.HORN is therefore a unique combination of technical precision and handcrafted design, tailored specifically for its intended space.
